Use your own domain for your online store

Connect the domain you already own at no additional charge from ShopNx. Your customers see your name in the address bar.

How to connect your domain

1. Sign in at the company where you bought your domain, and open its DNS settings.
2. Add or change the A record so that it points to 72.60.223.83.
3. In your ShopNx admin, open the domain settings and add your domain.
4. Open your domain in a browser to check that your store appears.

Before you change anything

If your domain already runs a website, changing the A record moves visitors to your ShopNx store. Set up your store first. Email on the domain uses separate MX records, so leave those as they are.

Don't have a domain yet?

Buy one from any domain registrar. A good store domain is:

• short enough to say out loud in a reel or over the phone;
• easy to spell, without numbers or hyphens if you can avoid them;
• your brand name, not a list of what you sell, so it still fits when your range grows.

The registrar charges you for the name, usually once a year, and ShopNx has no part in that cost. It is one of the few costs outside the ShopNx fee.
