ShopNxWill my store load quickly on a phone?
We can't give you a number that holds for every store, so we don't publish one. It depends on your photos, your page sections and what you add. You can test a real store yourself before you decide.
How can I test it?
Open our sample store(opens in a new tab) on your own phone, on mobile data. Then run its address through Google PageSpeed Insights(opens in a new tab), which is free. After you build your store, test your own pages the same way.
What slows a store down?
- Large photos. Upload photos no bigger than the page needs.
- Tracking you add. Each pixel and analytics tool is more for a phone to load. Add only those you use.
- Long pages. Home and product pages are arranged from sections, so keep the ones that help a shopper buy.
- Videos. Show them beside the products they help to sell, not on every page.
Who looks after the servers?
On our hosting, we do. If you self-host, you choose the server and look after it, so its speed is yours to manage.
Questions sellers ask
Do you guarantee a load time or uptime?
No. We publish no speed or uptime figure, because we have not measured one that would hold for every store.
Will my store handle a big sale day?
We have no load test figure to show you. If you expect a large rush, tell us beforehand. On your own server, capacity is yours to plan.
